I have a theory, Monday is the most dreaded day of the week. Agree or disagree? Not to many people enjoy Monday, it’s the first day back at a job they probably don’t like, working with people they don’t enjoy being around and taking orders from a boss they don’t want to take orders from. Been there and done that. It sucks huh?

Wouldn’t it be more fun if your backyard looked like this?!?!

Dominican Republic Beach

Or like this?

Dominican Republic Tropical Paradise

Wouldn’t it be so much better of you could have fun on a Monday, now I’m not saying you can’t have fun on the weekends but don’t you think it would be more enjoyable if you could have fun an extra day!? We can call it Monday Funday! I think so! On Monday when everyone is sitting in traffic on their way to a crappy job to deal with the demanding boss and boring coworkers your on the beach, exploring some caves, going cliff jumping into crystal clear water or visiting Isla Saona (an island off the coast of the Dominican Republic) having some drinks with strangers and sharing stories. Which sounds more enjoyable, crappy day job or Monday Funday? Monday Funday of course!

Are you able to work remotely? Do you have some vacation days you can use and are trying to escape the 9-5 grind in the US or Canada? Are you wondering if you could start a small business in the Dominican Republic and leave the rat race behind? Maybe start a hostel on the beach, buy a small hotel and fix it up or have a rental property for extra income that will afford you the TIME to have a Monday Funday not just once but when you want throughout the year. Well, you can change your lifestyle and it’s all up to you.

We Regret the Chances We Don't Take

It’s all about taking that risk for something new and adventurous and seeing how everything unfolds all while having unshakable faith that everything will be provided to you at the right time. Many people I have met in my travels have done just that, left their home country to create a new life in a foreign country. It’s scary at first, not having a support network and having to bootstrap your new business but if done right the rewards are always sweeter than any sweet piece of cheesecake you could imagine. In the near future we will be profiling some people who have started a new life here in the Dominican Republic so you can get to know them and see how they have succeeded.

Monday doesn’t have to be the most dreaded day of the week. With the right frame of mind, clear focus, and some risk taking you can transform your life to enjoy Mondays, especially Mondays at the beach in your own backyard.
